20 Miles, Yes I Can!

Yesterday I ran 20 miles, I know, I know you are all very impressed and are not at all tired of hearing about my running accomplishments. I promise that I am not trying to bore you to tears but then again if you are coming to my blog to be entertained I never claimed to be a good writer or to provide you with entertaining topics. But, since you are here I will have to go on about how excited I am about conquering 20 miles. I will admit that this was not an easy run for me, it has taken months of hard work and rigorous training to get to this point. The first 15 miles were pretty fun but after that it became more challenging for me. I found the last 1/2 mile to be the most difficult because at the time I felt like I had huge blisters on the bottom of me feet. Today my body aches in places that I was never aware of and walking around is a bit challenging.

I am now on the final countdown to my Seattle full marathon where I will be running 26.2 miles. The marathon will be 6.2 miles longer than IĀ have ever gone before. After my 20 mile run yesterday I honestly felt like I could not walk another 6.2 miles let alone run it but I pray that when my day arrivesĀ that my training will pay off and my body will go the distance.
