Counting Piggy’s

My girls wanted to count the money in their piggy banks. They really did not care how much they had as long as it was more than their sister. They have been putting money into their pigs for most of their lives but yet they never ask to spend it.

Molly - This is such a strange image to us in the UK as we don’t have a £1 note any more only a coin. It seems strange to see bills in a piggy bank.

Laurie @ Pride in Photos - This brings back great memories for me with my girls many years ago. Always loved the concept of a piggy bank.

Open Wide

Today Kinley had to have two teeth pulled. My sweet girl was so brave and she handled it much better than I did. She was adamant that she did not want to be put to sleep for the procedure so she got up the courage to do it awake with the nitrate gas. She was so clam and we only saw a few tears which she was fighting to not let out.

After it was all said and done my girl got spoiled. She got to pick where she wanted to go to lunch, so Betty Burgers it was. She ordered her favorite milkshake, cake batter and drank it all. I bought her some Jello pudding cups which are a real treat in our house because I never buy that crap. After dinner she got to go to Baskin Robin’s and she ordered her favorite ice cream flavor, birthday cake! Tonight the tooth fairy will come and I hear that he/she pays twice as much for pulled teeth, YAY!

My poor girl has a long road of dental work ahead of her and we should have one very rich orthodontist by the time we are done! I completely blame my husband for this, sadly she inherited his jacked up teeth. ha! Love you Reg but it’s all your fault!  :(
Thankfully Kinley can see how great her daddy’s teeth look now after many years of childhood dental work.

Swim Team

My girls are growing up so fast! This summer I signed my them up to be on a swim team but it feels like they should still be in swimming lessons. How is it that my little girls are old enough for this…

It has always been a goal of mine to ensure that they become strong swimmers.  I swam competitively for many years throughout Junior High and High school so it is essential to me that they learn the techniques to swim each of the four main strokes, butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke.

Both Kinley and Hadley are truly enjoying being on the swim team and seeing their capabilities makes me so proud!

Summertime

I love summer, it is my favorite time of year!
I love the sunshine, the warm evenings and weekend getaways. I love spending time with my sweet girls and not having to rush in the mornings. I love date nights with my husband, dining outside and going to concerts. I love sleeping with our balcony door open and feeling the cool breeze come through our bedroom. Summertime just makes me HAPPY!  ♥

Below our some photos from our recent trip to Pine Mountain Lake and Yosemite.

Pine Mountain Lake

We are up at Pine Mountain Lake in California right now. The girls are having a fabulous time. Yesterday they were spoiled with a special treat. They got to drive two boats and swim in the lake. Our friend  and principal at the girls school has a cabin up here and he blessed them with special memories. They got to drive his patio boat and his speed boat. They also got to jump off of his boat with him and swim in the lake. Thank you Steve for a wonderful time, you made the girls entire trip!

Today we are headed to Yosemite ♥
