Big Sister, Little Sister

Last night my sweet girls crawled into bed together and Kinley read stories to Hadley.
It melts my heart that they love doing this togther!

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Rebeca Finn - I tell my older daughter that the best gift we could give her is a little sister! For now, she only agrees about half the time!

Love your work!

4 Years of Babbeling

Wow, it is hard to believe that I stated Mommy Babble four years ago. Today is my four year blogoversary. I did not know then what it would end up being but my main goal has always been to create a journal of my life with my family. Mommy Babble has become a creative outlet for me where I can write about life, share my photography, recipes and more. I never knew how wonderful the blogging world would be. I have made connections with so many amazing and talented people. My blog has also helped me realize many of my own dreams and goals and it holds me accountable for the things that I write!

I do have some new goals for my blog that I would like to move forward with. I would really like to start sharing some of my other loves such as DIY projects and some of my vintage finds and my love for decorating. I am hoping that in 2012 I will find the time to do this.

Thank you to all of my sweet readers and to everyone who visits my blog, leaves comments and sends emails. I appreciate your interest very much and I feel honored that you would take the time out of your busy life to see what I am blogging about.

If you visit my blog and you have a blog of your own I would love it if you left a link in the comment section so that I can check out your blog as well.

Bye Bye 2011 – Hello 2012

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already.  I do not think that I have ever felt that a year has passed by as fast as this one did.
2011 was a great year! Our family was blessed with good health and we created many wonderful memories.

A Few Happenings form 2011

-My father-In Law took us on the most wonderful family vacation to Florida and a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas.

– We purchased a family travel trailer.

-We got two new baby bunnies, Pebbles and Snowflake.

-Our sweet Belle dog passed away.

-Sean turned 17 and started his Senior year in High School. He got a car and his driver’s license.

-Hadley turned 6 and graduated from Kindergarten and is now in 1st grade,

-Kinley turned 8 and started the Second Grade.

The only New Year’s Resolution that I have made for myself is to choose happiness and to have faith in God everyday. My sweet little family has been so incredibly blessed and I just want to live in the moment and enjoy this precious life because it goes by so FAST!!.

December Recap

We had a fabulous December, so fabulous that I never found the time to update my blog so here we go…

Kinley and Hadley had their second annual movie and pajama party to celebrate Christmas with their friends.
We had 25 little girls running around and a fun time it was!

Daddy making a Gingerbread house with Hadley at school. We went to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at our church and this year they added a special new addition, sand art. It was so amazing and beautiful to watch!
Christmas morning the girls were up at 6:30 a.m. , before it was light out so I quickly snapped the photo shown above before they ran into the room to see what Santa had brought them.  Santa brought Kinley and Hadley American Girl Dolls. Kinley got Lainey and Hadley got Ruthie. They also got an Apple computer to share from their Daddy and I.

I LOVE my new desk chair that my girls picked out for me for my Christmas gift!!
It is so pretty and very comfortable, they know my style well.

We had a wonderful visit from Papa and Grammy. They came from Texas to visit us and the girls were so excited that they stayed an extra day so that they could attend their school Christmas program.Over the Christmas break I used my iPhone to capture many of the things that we did. We rode bikes, played with cousins and friends, went to the movies, played outside and did many crafts.

And now we are exhausted from all of the fun!
